My First Blog Giveaway!

I am giving away a brand new faux patent leather purse from the Merona Collection at Target!  I got this bag awhile back and it doesn't really fit my style, so I've decided to give it to one of my lucky readers.  I really love this purse, especially the leopard lining on the inside.  The Merona Collection generally has more stylish items than the normal Merona stuff from Target.  The color is really great for fall.  I'll also include a little hand-written note inside.
This bag looks really cute as a shoulder bag, and you can also tuck in the strap and make it a clutch.  It looks great dressed up or down.
To enter, you must follow my blog, then do one (or both) of the following:
1.  Leave me a comment.  Just tell me something interesting or funny about yourself!
2. Post about my giveaway on your own blog, and leave a comment with a link to your post so I know you did it.

If you do both, you get two entries!  And sorry, but this is for US readers only.  I can't afford international shipping!  I'll reveal the winner in about a week.

College Orientation

I just got home from my orientation at the Savannah College of Art and Design.  It really was amazing, and I was surprised at how easily I made friends and how much more relaxed I am about college, too.  I got this shirt there; you can tell I'm excited.
Not only did I make some friends, but I found out so much about the college.  If you're interested in ANY creative career, SCAD really is the place for you.   They have everything, and they have so many job opportunities.  Brands like Anthropologie and BCBG have been to SCAD looking to fill internships.  I'm planning on majoring in fashion, but who knows, that might change for all I know.  I took my camera when I went to orientation, but I didn't take any pictures.  I was so busy the entire time.

I got to watch the premiere of Project Runway while I was there, and it was a lot of fun to watch with my fellow fashion students.  We liked to critique everything that they made.  April Johnston from Savannah, GA actually is a SCAD alumni who just graduated from college.  Unfortunately her first design wasn't so great, but I'll still be rooting for her.

As for my giveaway, you'll be hearing about that very soon!  I just need to take some pictures of what I'm giving away, and then post them on here, so get excited!

Chloe RTW Spring 2010

I know it seems kind of crazy to post a spring 2010 fashion line, since everyone is talking about fall right now, but personally I think this collection is a lot more relevant to what the weather is like RIGHT NOW.  Well, not really, it's pouring where I live right now, but you get the point.  Besides, everyone needs to come up for air from all the fall fashion.

I love everything about this collection.  They even have the army green that's oh so on trend right now.
It's funny, I had to get dressed while I was waiting for these pictures to upload, so I immediately put on a light denim shirt over a floral tank top, army green capris, and sandals.  Just looking at these inspired me.  I even let my curls go rain crazy after seeing these.  These are just my favorites, but you can look at the whole collection here.

By the way, I've hit 50 followers on google friend connect (my little box on the sidebar doesn't show them all for some reason), so to celebrate, I'm having a BLOG GIVEAWAY in a few days!  I'm leaving for college orientation tomorrow, but I'll be posting the giveaway when I get back!  Make sure to check back here!

Fashion Failures

I was browsing the Lookbook forums, and I found this topic, which inspired me to show you some of my own fashion failures.  It seems like everyone on that website had an "emo" phase, including myself.

In my defense, I wore this as a halloween costume, but I probably wore something similar on other days, too.
Look at that face, haha.  I think I was about 13 or 14.
This is actually before the emo phase, when I was about 12.  Gosh, look how thin and pale I am.  And my hair is sooo long!  This used to be my favorite outfit, with Hollister written across my chest, and my Dollhouse jeans that were SO soft.  I remember when they were too small and I almost cried.  I had just given Lindsay her outfit, and it also had "Hollister" written across her butt.  Classy.

Here was the beginnings of the emo phase.  I was probably 12 in this picture, too.  Notice the sparkly cat on my shirt.  I always had glitter everywhere when I wore this.  I was doing a science fair project.

This is me, about 15 I believe.  Typical blown out face and Hollister t-shirt.  I actually lost this shirt somewhere, it was one of my favorites, too.  Also, notice the guitar pick necklace.  I wore every day until the chain broke one day, and I never got a new one.
This is me, probably on my 16th birthday actually.  Lindsay gave this hoodie to me.  It's a great color, it's unfortunate that it has to have that giant logo.  The hood is oh so cool, too.

This is me at the end of last summer I think.  Vera Bradley purse plus Hollister jacket plus polka dot t-shirt.  And this wasn't even that long ago!
Unfortunately I deleted all the REALLY bad pictures of me from way back when.  These were the only ones that survived!

Bloggers Block

I'm experiencing what would best be described as blogger's block, where I just have no idea what to blog about.  So please, let me know what you'd like to hear more about in this poll.

If you picked other, please explain in the comments!
I will leave you all with some inspiring images.

Warped Tour 2010!

Warped Tour was amazing yet again this year, and just as crazy as before.  You may recall last year's post about warped tour.  Pretty much all the same rules still apply.  I got to see lots of crazy idiots, see lots of amazing bands, and get REALLY sunburned.  Last year it was cloudy, so it wasn't nearly as hot and I didn't get as burned as I did this year.  I almost got heat stroke once, but I ended up being okay.  If you go to an outdoor concert festival type thing, drink TONS water.

Here's the schedule.  We underlined/starred bands we wanted to see.  We ended up not seeing some of these, and seeing others instead though.
First band we saw was In Fear and Faith.  I didn't like them at all.  Joey did, though.
This band was called Set Your Goals, and they were okay.
This is The Summer Set, one of the bands I really wanted to see.  They were good, but the singer kind of seemed like a jerk.
The girl drummer was awesome!
Here are just some random people.  Look at that guy's hair!
This was Joey's favorite band, Emarosa.  I liked them, but I had to leave early to be able to see The Rocket Summer.
Of course, he was really really awesome. He made up a song for us right on the spot!  At the end he started singing about Jesus, and he was getting booed by the Alesana crowd.  I felt so bad for him.  Everyone cusses on stage at warped tour, and Bryce hates it, so he called us "motherlovers" instead. :)
After he played I ran to the tent he was at so I could meet him!  He was super nice.
He signed my belt, too!
Joey met the guy from Emarosa, too.
After that I got mild heatstroke and had to sit down for awhile (and I missed Sum 41), but then I recovered and got to see We The Kings.  This was the best picture I took all day in my opinion.
Last we saw Eyes Set to Kill, which I liked okay.  There were two girls playing guitar and they were both awesome.  I couldn't get a clear picture because there was dirt everywhere from people moshing.
So yeah, it was tons of fun.  I highly recommend going if the tour comes near you.

Pre Warped Tour

Hey guys, I've been trying to post my answers video, but it's been taking so long to upload!  Warped tour is tomorrow, and I'm super excited.  I just checked, and I can bring my camera, so I'll have tons of fun stuff to share when I get back.  I mostly want to see The Rocket Summer (yesssssss), NeverShoutNever, Sum 41, The Summer Set, and We The Kings.  There's quite a lot of bands I've never heard of, so it'll be exciting to hear some new stuff too.  I'll give you all a sample of what each band sounds like.

Typewriters

I actually took these photos yesterday, but I forgot to post them!  I'm glad you all liked The Maine, too.  Can you believe the lead singer is only 21?  For some reason that seemed super young to me.  I guess because it's only three years older than me.  We were in high school at the same time!

Obviously, I decided to keep the typewriter shirt.  I've already worn it like three times since I got it.  I always get tons of compliments, too.  My best friend bought the same shirt, and I saw her today, and she pretty much had this exact outfit on.
Poridge shirt via Anthropologie, DIY vintage shorts, Urban Outfitters necklace

Don't forget to ask me some questions for my next video blog!  Just ask anything, it can be totally random and not fashion related at all if you'd like.

The Maine

The Maine has been one of my favorite bands for quite some time ever since I met the singer at Warped Tour last year, and they just came out with a new album yesterday.  It's called Black & White, and there's not a single song on it that I dislike.  This one is one of my favorites, it's just pain cute!
More good ones are "Right Girl" or "Inside of You."

The Story of Bottled Water

This is why I hate water bottles.

Video Blog

I decided to do a video blog today, just for fun!  I'm sorry I'm so awkward on camera.  I'm super shy in real life, and it's even more strange to talk to yourself on camera.
Anyways, this is the top in a better-quality picture.  I've really been resisting the Miu Miu trend for quite some time now, but lately it's just been stuck in my head.  I wonder if PacSun even realized what they were copying when they designed this top.

Also, I'm serious about any questions you guys might have!  I think it would be fun.  Just feel free to ask totally random things in the comments section. :)

Cat Print Dress

Anyone want to sell this Zara dress to me?  I'm entirely serious!  Or does anyone possibly know where I can get something similar?  Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE cats!  This is obviously based on the Miu Miu cat print.  I can find tons of swallow print lookalikes, but no cat print dresses!  Help me out, please?

Dots and Lace

That's right, another outfit post!  I've had nothing to do lately, so boredom sometimes is productive.  Did you know that bugs can bite you through tights?  Neither did I, but now I know unfortunately.  I was out all day wearing this outfit minus the tights, and all day I was regretting not wearing them.  I guess when it's 100 degrees outside, tights aren't the best option.  This is actually one of my favorite outfits I've worn in quite awhile!
H&M top and shorts, vintage jewelry, Target tights, Steve Madden shoes

I miss my best friend, she's been on vacation with her boyfriend :(
