Savannah

Why yes. I will be attending college at this lovely place next year (hopefully)!
Isn't it beautiful?
Speaking of beautiful, the weather during our spring break is supposed to be FLAWLESS, so expect lots of pictures and fun things being posted during next week! These past few days have been good photo taking days, but I just have had SERIOUS senioritis lately and it's making me so incredibly lazy all the time. Sorry about that!

Vampire Weekend

I just have a quick post today, but I love this song so much! And this video has Joe Jonas, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Lil' Jon in it, which is pretty funny. You've probably heard this song before.

Winter decided to visit again this weekend. Can't wait for the warm weather to come back.
I meant to post this song the other day instead of the other one.

Dear Readers,

My day has been quite eventful. I went on a picnic in the local park, and my friend and I started to hear tons of sirens. Turns out the center of our town was burning down. It still is as I'm typing this. I don't want to disclose any more information, for internet safety and whatnot, but yeah. I'm pretty heartbroken. I've lived here my entire life. I don't handle change very well, and I feel like this is a sign of something major coming my way.
My art teacher also told us this story about her life, and how it taught her to stop worrying about trying to take care of everyone else before she took care of herself. It really struck me for some reason. I tend to worry a lot about not hurting people instead of doing what I truly want.
Tomorrow when you're at school or work or wherever, just stop what you're doing. Look around. Everyone in the room had a childhood, everyone has a story. We tend to get caught up in what's happening right in that moment, and we forget that people had a life before we stepped into it. Hearing my art teacher's story just really made me remember that.
Yours truly,
Dana

Freelance Whales

I just discovered this band, and they are truly fantastic. They just make me feel instantly happy. I promise they aren't anything like Say Anything. :p

Natural Light

I got inspired by this blog post yesterday, so instead of going outside to take these pictures, I tried this instead. I wish I had a model to take pictures of, though. That would make matters much easier.

H&M

Today was so beautiful! I finally got a chance to go to the mall to the BRAND NEW H&M store! It just opened Thursday! I'm super excited about having one so close to home. I think it got over 75 degrees here, and I'm seeing more and more spring flowers every day! :)

My mom's handmade high school cheerleading uniform! She went to a Christian school, so their skirts had to be that long.

Target

Hey guys, here's my wannabe outfit post today. I really like what I wore, but I figured it was too simple for a full out photo session. Everything is new but the jeans and the necklace, and it's all from Target! It actually felt weird to wear sandals today after wearing boots and such for so long. I really love the fit of this shirt and the sequin pocket. I'll make sure to get a better picture of it sometime.

Dots

I don't care how overdone they are, I seriously love these tights. It's been a little cooler for the past few days, so it was the perfect time to break 'em out.

(yes, these photos are edited. it looks kinda surreal, doesn't it?)

BLOGLOVIN

I just discovered the glory of bloglovin.
Follow my blog with bloglovin :)

Alive with the glory of love.

I really do apologize for being so obsessed with Say Anything lately, I just can't help it. At least this is just COVER of one of their songs. She has such a unique voice, I really love it.

Lace

I love this bush right outside our house. It grows wannabe roses! I don't know what they're really called. These are the first flowers I've seen so far. I can already tell that the grass is looking greener lately (literally)! This shirt is one of my favorite thrift store finds. I love lace, and in t-shirt form, it's easy to wear. My brother walked outside while I was taking these and just looked at me weird. I'm getting more brave with the tripod!

Boredom.

back in the day...

Let me start off by saying these are NOT recent sewing projects. I might have done these when I was about ten or so. I customized the jeans with the pink thread and destroyed them, and I made a purse out of an old pair of AE shorts (those were vintage, why did I cut them up?!). I also made that mini purse from old denim. I didn't know how to sew, so I just kinda faked it sewing the bottom and sewing on my embellishments. I just think it's cool that I was into this even back then! I know I did a lot more, but these are the only ones I could find.
Sorry about the lack of interesting posts, it has been super dreary outside for the past few days.

My friend let me borrow a webcam so we could Skype. It's super fun! Here's me being all webcam savvy:
