THEMES?

Is it just me or do the looks I like lately have some sort of theme?

I wore this skirt today, and my outfit was actually very similar. I saw this after I got dressed, though.

DAD'S JEANS.

Ignore my weird face. My dad told me I could have these, but I'm not sure if I should wear them with the paint on them or if i should cut them off and make shorts. I kinda like the black paint on there. What do you think?

THRIFT SHOPPING.

I've been thrift shopping for the past few days for my graduation project, since I'm making clothes out of recycled stuff. Of course, I've found other things in the process. That blazer fits so perfect! And the red bag looks brand new.

I'm planning to just shorten this dress, because it already fits and I love the flower pattern.

These are just some big dresses/skirts I got just to use the material from.

My favorite thing of all was this little purse. Who could give away something this cute?

So I got all of this for just $30!

UNICORN KID.

I saw Owl City on Friday, and of course it was really amazing. He even brought a cello and violin. He also played some guitar. I was highly impressed.

I was also impressed by his opener, Unicorn Kid. This guy is only seventeen, and is already fantastic. He wears this cute lion hat all the time. If he tours anywhere near you, I highly reccomend going to see him. He has soo much energy.

This is my favorite song of his, called Animal City.

TAYLOR MOMSEN.

I know a lot of bloggers give Taylor a hard time, saying her style is "fake," but honestly, I love it anyways. I've always been slightly jealous of those girls who can pull off the rock look without looking trashy. The first look is definitely my favorite. That necklace in the second photo is way cool.

The only thing is, I have such a hard time seeing her as little Cindy Lou Who. Don't you?

PROJECT.

So I met with my mentor today regarding my graduation project, and I'm pretty excited about it. I'm making clothes out of as much recycled material as possible.

But now, I am in need of some simple patterns to get me started. I don't know if any of you are into sewing or any DIY projects, but I would appreciate any pattern or idea suggestions! I've never used a sewing machine, so I'm not really sure what I'm undertaking.

PLAID PARTY.

If I get ONE MORE email from Hollister that says anything about a "plaid party" and has a picture of a million plaid shirts, I will explode. I understand that you sell plaid, no need to send me 400 emails about it.

On that note, this shirt is NOT from Hollister. I let my cat go out on the deck with me while I took these photos and she decided to run halfway in the woods when I wasn't looking. I had to go chase her down while trying to avoid some huge spider webs. It was not fun. Despite all that, I do love plaid shirts!

PRETTY LITTLE PURSE.

This extremely beautiful purse belonged to my great grandmother back in the 20's! It even has a pretty little handkerchief inside of it. I brought it to the eighth grade social and will probably bring it to prom this year. I'm also wearing a Free People dress, as usual.

GOODBYE SUMMER.

I just wanted to share with you the pieces of my summer wardrobe that I wore entirely too often, and will really be missed during the fall and winter. I'll probably find ways to sneak most of them into my wardrobe, anyways. I don't know what to put away and what to leave out for those "just in case" scenarios. I also wore v-necks galore almost daily, but those aren't pictured.

Free People dress, American Eagle boyfriend shorts, Free People top, American Eagle blazer, Aldo shoes (obviously worn to death), Free People white pants, J. Crew skirt, Coconuts sandals (actually had to be stapled back together because the strap ripped off), American Eagle boyfriend jeans, Free People dress, American Eagle tee, Free People top, Rubbish cardigan, Free People lace vest.

I'm sure you're asking: did she shop anywhere besides Free People and American Eagle? Yes, I did. It just seems like their stuff made it's way into weekly wear.

I'm in a much better mood than I have been lately, so hopefully the post count will go back up!

DIY IDEAS NEEDED.

I am IN NEED of some good DIY projects, preferrably involving studs. I've been kinda obsessed with any look involving them lately. But if you have any good ideas or websites, please comment!
