JOHN MAYER.

I got his new album Battle Studies and I was very pleasantly surprised. "Assassin" is probably my favorite, but also check out "Who Says" and "Half of My Heart" if you like this one. "Half of My Heart" actually has Taylor Swift in it, too.
I'm not sure how to explain this song, you just have to listen to it.

BLACK FRIDAY.

So I discovered today that I pretty much want every shoe at ModCloth.com...
I got up at 3:00 this morning to go shopping. My mom and I saved about a thousand dollars total! Target was a total madhouse this morning. It's fun being a little crazy every once in awhile!

LIFE.

I was feeling a bit depressed about life the other day, and my friend Keith told me this:
"Okay, so I'm in one of those moods. But you know how we are on a planet that is in a solar system that is in a galaxy that is in the universe that could be just one of an infanty amount of universi? And that on this one planet that happens to be the right place in an area surrounded by nothingness, there are over 6 billion of absolutely unique human beings each with millions of cells that are constanly dividing, creating new life. And if you ignore all the possible Earth-destroying diasters, the mankind created diasters, the natural disasters, each of those millions of cells faces its own constant struggle to create an ideal environment for which it to live, which creates us, which creates this world we live in. Of all the possible things that can go wrong, in birth, in development, in the world, the fact that we exist is simply breath taking sometimes. Life is amazing."
Therefore, your life is amazing. No matter what. :)

WHITE HOUSE BLACK MARKET.

I'm definitely putting this coat on my wish list. The model makes it look a little blah with that turtle-neck, but I promise it's adorable and really cozy; I tried it on in the store.

BRIGHT STAR.

Bright star, would I were stedfast as thou art--
Not in lone splendour hung aloft the night
And watching, with eternal lids apart,
Like nature's patient, sleepless Eremite,
The moving waters at their priestlike task
Of pure ablution round earth's human shores,
Or gazing on the new soft-fallen mask
Of snow upon the mountains and the moors--
No--yet still stedfast, still unchangeable,
Pillow'd upon my fair love's ripening breast,
To feel for ever its soft fall and swell,
Awake for ever in a sweet unrest,
Still, still to hear her tender-taken breath,
And so live ever--or else swoon to death.
-John Keats
Oh, how I adore this poem. If you analyze this in English class, do listen, because it's incredible.

I MADE THAT!

I'm super excited! I finished my very first garment ever! I know, it's just a plain denim skirt, but it was way harder to make than you'd think. I'm thinking about putting some brass studs on the pockets or something, what do you think?
OH and I also got this mannequin like two days ago. It happens to be my exact size other than the waist being slightly small, and I've been having so much fun dressing it up (as lame as that sounds).
I wore a great outfit today, but didn't get a chance to photograph it. I probably will tomorrow. :)
