Ready For Battle

I got this fantastic army green dress at Target the other day, and it's definitely going to be one of my favorite dresses for fall.  I went outside to try and take some pictures with it, but I hated them all except for this one.  I just started sweating up a storm in the 100 degree F weather.  I'll try to get some better ones sometime, because it's amazingly flattering and really quite elegant looking, and I don't use the word 'elegant' very often.  I really wanted to play up both the elegance and the army green of the dress, so I paired it with a gold pearl necklace and combat boots.

I also got another letter from my friend who's in basic training in the army right now, so I guess his stories really set the mood for this look!
